Birmingham city centre bar ‘closed until further notice’ due to ‘lack of water’

A Birmingham bar announced to customers they would be ‘closed until further notice’ due to a ‘lack of water’ The city centre location is known for its glamorous aesthetic and chandeliers, which brings a style of New York to the Second City.

Located on Colmore Row, The Colmore has pulled pints in Birmingham since it opened in 2018. Beyond several beers on tap, the bar has an extensive wine menu and over 20 gins for customers to choose from.

In terms of food, The Colmore draws from its New York inspiration with a dedicated pizza menu. With 12 options, customers are able to grab a slice of New York in one of the city’s prettiest bars.

Inspired by The Ginger Man bar in Manhattan, Thornbridge Brewery wanted to create an ‘opulent’ venue when they transformed the former Lloyds Bank. But customers faced an unexpected delay when the bar announced today it would not open at their usual time of 12pm.

On Instagram, The Colmore posted: “Due to a lack of water at the venue today, we will be closed until further notice. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will provide an update as soon as the issue is resolved.”
