Alongside regular training, the volunteer crew attended a variety of incidents throughout the year.
These included aiding broken down vessels, assisting kite surfers and taking part in missing person searches.
During the incidents, lifeboat crew worked with police, ambulance and fire crews, the Coastguard helicopter and several volunteer Coastguard Rescue Teams.
The lifeboat station has also enjoyed a successful year of fundraising, alongside some changes to its staff.
A spokesperson said: “We would like to thank everyone who has donated to us over the year, whether that’s putting money in a lifeboat box, the donation of a raffle prize to a fundraising event, hosting a fundraising event or visiting our station or RNLI Shop.
“It all means a lot to us as all your donations allow us to maintain a 24-hour lifesaving service to help save lives at sea.
“Within the station we’ve seen some changes during 2024. Evan Gallacher, our full-time mechanic at Troon, moved to a new post after six years of service.
“He moved to another full-time role within the RNLI and is now be based at the RNLI’s divisional base at Perth.
“The full-time mechanic role has now been passed to Graeme Hendren. Graeme joined the crew five years ago, volunteering on the inshore and all-weather lifeboats.
“After interview he was appointed as the station’s new full-time mechanic to serve alongside new Coxswain Josh Middleton.”
Josh joined the RNLI in Troon in early 2024 after successfully being appointed as Coxswain following a career in the military.
He decided to apply for the full-time Coxswains position and completed all his training on the all-weather lifeboat both at Troon and at the RNLI College in Poole.
A spokesperson added: “Our fundraising branch continued to have many successful events including Quiz and Chips and our RNLI Christmas Fayre.
“Sadly during 2024 our RNLI Shop on Ayr Street closed, however, our retail volunteers will still be selling RNLI merchandise at various events in the local area next year.
“As this year draws to a close, we would also like to take this opportunity to wish all our volunteers, friends and supporters all the very best for the year ahead and look forward to your continuing support in 2025.”
