Employers across Caithness are being encouraged to mark their calendars for the far north’s largest jobs, training and recruitment event.
Caithness Jobs and How to Get Them will return on Saturday, February 8, at the UHI Thurso Campus, ETEC Building.
The jobs fair offers prospective employees information on what skills they need as well as job opportunities.
Organised by Caithness Chamber of Commerce’s Developing the Young Workforce North Highland (DYWNH) initiative in partnership with Focus North, Jobcentre Plus, UHI North, West and Hebrides, Skills Development Scotland, and Highland Council, the event offers a unique opportunity for businesses and job seekers alike.
In 2024, the event featured over 40 local and national exhibitors and attracted more than 300 visitors eager to explore job vacancies, apprenticeships, training opportunities, and much more.

Trudy Morris, CEO of Caithness Chamber of Commerce, said: “We’re thrilled to bring Caithness Jobs and How to Get Them back to Thurso. This flagship employment event is a must-attend for businesses and job seekers across the north Highlands.
“Scheduled for Saturday, February 8, it’s the perfect chance for companies to showcase their opportunities and for attendees to connect with potential employers.
“People are a business’s greatest asset and building a resilient and dynamic workforce is key to ensuring long-term success. This event not only provides a platform for employers to engage with future talent but also gives attendees valuable insights into the skills and qualifications that businesses need today and in the future.
“We are encouraging exhibitors to include interactive activities or demonstrations. These have been a huge hit at previous events, offering attendees a hands-on understanding of how businesses work, and the skills needed to join their workforce.”
