An urgent search has been launched for a missing man who was last seen five days ago.
Police are becoming concerned for Kevin Coates, also known as Jay Foray, who was last seen at around 4.15pm on Wednesday (January 8) on Fowler Heights Close, Blackburn. Lancashire Constabulary have now issued a police appeal to help trace the 43-year-old.
He has links to Blackburn and Blackpool and is described as 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with short, mousey brown hair, and a short beard. Police said he may also have a black eye and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, grey beanie hat, blue denim jeans, and black trainers.
The force has urged anyone with information to come forward immediately and call 999.
In a statement, Blackburn and Darwen Police said: “We need your help to find Kevin Coates who is missing from Blackburn. Kevin, 43, was last seen on Fowler Heights Close, Blackburn at 4:15pm on Wednesday 8th January.
“We have been making enquiries since this date and are now asking for your help. Kevin is also known as Jay Foray.
“He has links to Blackburn and Blackpool. Kevin is 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with short, mousey brown hair, and a short beard.
“He may also have a black eye. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, grey beanie hat, blue denim jeans, and black trainers.
“For immediate sightings of Kevin, please call 999. If you have any information as to where he might be or previous sightings, call 101 quoting log 1326 of 7th January 2025.”
