Fed-up residents on the Copcut Rise estate in Droitwich were targeted by multiple cold callers who visited homes numerous times.
Wychavon District Councillor Daniel Birch said the Copcut Rise Residents’ Association initially raised the issue with him after noticing an increase in cold calling on the estate.

“We have rolled out a scheme to provide residents on the Copcut Rise estate with no cold calling stickers following an increase in unsolicited cold calling on the estate,” said Cllr Birch.
“There were reports of cold callers targeting the estate and visiting properties numerous times in a day, so I purchased no cold calling stickers for the residents impacted, and with the help of the residents association, we are getting these distributed around the estate.
“Residents on the estate can reach out if they would also like a sign.”
Cold calling is not illegal in the UK and those calling on properties do not require a license.
However, residents can take preventive steps to limit the number of visits they receive by installing ‘No Cold Calling’ posters in their windows, for example.
