The Fisherton Street venue, which changed hands in August and is run by Matthew Thorne and Ben Goldsmith, shut on January 1 and will re-open on January 13.
The pub held a “final party” on New Year’s Eve ahead of the refurbishment.
Writing on Facebook, the owners said: “2024, you have been a bloody good one.
“To all of our loyal locals and incredible community, we send my deepest gratitude. You and the team are what makes Deacons… well, Deacons.
“Thank you to our amazing team, you have done a fantastic job of taking our boozer to the next level.
“We will be closed from January 1 to 13 to give our baby the TLC she needs (Deacons is like our child). Love you all. See you in the New Year.”

Deacons was previously under the ownership of the Immersive Group, a collection of brands including Tinga and Hixon, and managed by Dave and Aimee Hancock.
In August, Matthew said: “Ben and I have been mates for years.
“We’ve always wanted to do something together, and I’ve been involved with Dave and Aimee in the pub and the opportunity came up for us to take it on.
“It’s a pub that we both know really well and we’re just excited to take it on.
“We’re both from Salisbury, born and bred, and we love having things in the city and we don’t like seeing things close.
“It felt like the right time for us to take something together.”
