This five-year-old pup is seeking her forever home, and is looking for an adult-only household where she can be the only pet. The centre have described her as a “sensitive girl” in need of a “stable routine.” She can be fearful of men when first meeting them, so staff have recommended several meetings at the centre before adoption. Due to Izzy finding new situations stressful she will need to remain on the lead and muzzled when out on walks.
Lady Ruby Waggington, Dutch Shepherd cross

This super intelligent girl is looking for owners who can match her inquisitive nature. This lady will require an adult-only home with a maximum of two people, She would prefer a home with minimal visitors, and will need to live in a rural area away from traffic. Ruby is fully muzzle trained, and must be muzzled out on walks as she is fearful when strangers approach her. Staff have said Ruby becomes a snuggle bug after becoming close to her people and establishing trust with them.
Bailey Boo, Lurcher cross

11-year-old Bailey Boo came to Dogs Trust Basildon through no fault of her own and is now looking for her forever home. She would like to live in a home with no other pets, but can live with children aged 11 and over. She needs the right home and someone who can help her build up to being left alone.
Suki, German Shepherd cross

This sensitive pup has been in kennels for some time and is desperate to find her forever family. She is looking for an adult-only home with few visitors, and can be anxious around men. Due to a fear of strangers, it is important she remains muzzled on walks and always on her lead. Suki really enjoys running around, sniffing and everything else a dog loves, and would really benefit from a secure private garden. Any potential adopter will need to pay her several visits at the centre before adoption.
Forest, Siberian Husky cross

This pooch is looking for his forever home and has been marked by the centre as an “underdog,” which are dogs which have been in the trust’s care for six months or more. He will need a household which has no visiting children, though he can live with another dog pending a successful introduction. He has spent a long time in kennels and will need a family who understand and have experience with rescue dogs. He is fully muzzle trained and will need to be muzzled out in public places as he has shown aggression towards strangers due to his fear of new people. He loves being active and staff have called him a “clever cookie.” The centre have said he not able to live with cats or small furries.
