He was also charged with driving without a licence and without insurance.

Flaviu appeared at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on Saturday January 4, where he was further remanded to appear before Swansea Crown Court on February 7.

It comes after infant Sophia Kelemen was hit by a Nissan Qashqai in the ground floor of the seaside car park on January 2.

Sophia is believed to have been visiting the popular resort with her family and friends before the tragedy unfolded.

She was rushed to hospital after the collision in Tenby Multi-Storey but tragically died of her injuries a day later.

Sophia’s auntie, Adriana Kelemen, sister to Sophia’s dad Alex, paid an emotional tribute to the infant.

She told the Manchester Evening News: “She [Sophia] really wanted to walk, and was really excited, playful and energetic.

“She was the cutest and most adorable girl, who had just started babbling.

“It’s horrible we didn’t get the chance to see her grow up or make memories with her.”

The relative explained how Sophia was airlifted to hospital and underwent surgery overnight for a bleed on her brain.

Sophia was tragically diagnosed with brain damage, and by the time family rushed to see her, the infant had died.

“Sophia hardly ever cried. She was so smiley and bubbly. We used to say she was so advanced for her age,” Adriana added.

The grieving auntie has now started a fundraiser to cover funeral costs.

She said the family haven’t reached out for help from anyone and “nothing will bring her [Sophia] back”.

“This isn’t something anyone can prepare for or foresee,” added the aunt.

On a GoFundMe post she wrote: “A seemingly ordinary day turned into our family’s worst nightmare.

“Despite the efforts of the doctors, Sophia could not cope.”

She said it was an event that no one could have ever expected or planned for, especially right after the Christmas holidays.

A friend of Sophia’s mother, Simona, has started another fundraiser for the tot’s repatriation, which will need £6,670 to return her Romania.

She wrote: “Every cent counts, and with your help, Sophia will get home to Romania faster.”

In a statement on Facebook, Dyfed-Powys Police wrote: “Sadly, we can confirm that a 6-month-old baby girl has died following a collision on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park in Tenby on January 2.

“Sophia Kelemen, from the Leigh, Manchester area, was taken to hospital but died of her injuries on January 3.

“Our thoughts remain with her family at this difficult time.”

Baby Sophia’s family are now being supported by specially trained officers, according to cops.

Heartfelt tributes for Sophia and her family have flooded in, with Facebook users responding to the police statement.

One wrote: “Rest in peace little one, praying for justice to be done”

Another added: “Poor little baby, rest in paradise little one.”

A third user responded: “Rest in paradise you sweet little angel.”

Pictures of the youngster dressed in pink have racked up thousands of reactions on social media.

Cops added: “This is a tragic incident and is a live investigation.

“We ask that you do not speculate the circumstances.”
