Eden Motor Group, which has dealerships across the south west of England including one in London Road, Old Basing, partnered with the Trussell Trust to collect food donations for foodbanks.
Throughout December, Eden Motor Group’s dealerships became collection points for non-perishable food items.
Customers, staff and residents were encouraged to donate.
The response was “heartwarming,” with donations coming in from across the region.

On collection day, staff from Eden Motor Group wore Christmas outfits, including Santa hats and reindeer antlers, and joined a convoy of branded vehicles to transport the donations.
The convoy started from three central hubs – Reading, Exeter, and Swindon – and delivered the collected items directly to local foodbanks.
Graeme Potts, CEO of Eden Motor Group, said: “The partnership with the Trussell Trust highlights Eden Motor Group’s commitment to tackling food insecurity.
“The charity’s mission to end hunger aligns with Eden’s values, making this initiative a meaningful and impactful endeavour.”
The donations will provide essential support to families and individuals facing challenging circumstances.

As the convoy made its way through the region, the sight of festive vehicles and smiling staff reinforced the power of community and kindness during the holiday season.
Each delivery was met with gratitude from foodbank volunteers, who shared stories of how these contributions would make a tangible difference for many households.
The initiative served as a reminder of the importance of community solidarity, especially during a time when many are struggling to make ends meet.
This year’s foodbank collection is just one of the ways Eden Motor Group is committed to giving back.
The company plans to continue its charitable efforts in the coming year, exploring new ways to support local communities and create a positive impact beyond the automotive sector.
