A new wedding fayre aimed at far north couples is set to take place in Wick and Thurso, while raising money for local groups.
The North Coast Wedding Fayre wants to highlight and promote wedding suppliers in Caithness and Sutherland.

One will take place in Wick on Sunday, January 19, at the Assembly Rooms, with the Thurso event on Sunday, March 2, at the Royal British Legion Scotland.
Organiser Graham Sinclair, of Dynamic Sounds mobile disco, said: “Since before Covid there has been a lack of wedding fayres in the north, so I want to give as many brides, grooms and families as possible a one-stop shop to see the fabulous array of wedding suppliers locally.

“The idea behind having two editions of the fayre is so that there is a fayre on people’s doorsteps. Couples won’t have to travel to Inverness or farther afield to see the suppliers, in fact they won’t even have to cross the county.”
The events, which are free to enter, will also raise money for two local Caithness groups. The profits from the fayres will be split between Thurso Sea Cadets and The Edge dance company competition team. The groups will each have a table at the fayres.
Graham said there has been a steady stream of suppliers signing up, but anybody interested in being involved can contact him on graham@dynamicsoundsdisco.co.uk or message him though the Facebook page at facebook.com/ncwf2025
Both fayres will be open from 11am to 3pm on the respective days.
