Salisbury International Arts Festival

A two-week event that includes music, dance, circus, spoken word performances, and more. The event will take place on Sunday 25 May – Saturday 7 June 2025.

It is an annual multi-arts festival that delivers over 150 arts events each year in and around the city of Salisbury. Events include concerts, comedy, poetry, dance, exhibitions, outdoor spectacles, and commissioned works.

The festival makes use of the surrounding landscape, hosting events in settings including the ancient circles of Stonehenge, Old Wardour Castle, the Wiltshire Chalk Downs, and Salisbury Cathedral. Every four years a new director is chosen to deliver the annual festival.

In 2018 the festival organisers amalgamated with Salisbury Playhouse and Salisbury Arts Centre to form Wiltshire Creative.

Salisbury Cathedral’s Flower Festival

The Festival, which is being designed by Michael Bowyer MBE, Salisbury Cathedral’s Creative Director of Flowers, and floral designer Debbie Wadge, will take place from 13 – 18 May next year.

The theme of The Spirit of Water will see over 30,000 blooms across an array of arrangements, depicting water in its many settings – from displays representing a world without water and semi-dry locations to a journey along a ‘river of flowers’ and even an ‘ice’ display.

A display depicting the seabed will include hundreds of fish made by local community groups. It will involve volunteers from churches, flower clubs, and students from art colleges.

The Spirit of Water

A festival that will be a companion piece to the cathedral’s summer art exhibition, Living Water. It will take place between May 13 – May 18.

Just as the art show explores the power of water, its ability to hold memories and shape the identity of a place, as well as our need to live in balance with this life-sustaining force, the Flower Festival takes its inspiration from water in all its different forms – rain, water, ice and more.

Tickets are £17 for an adult and £7 for a child. Booking is recommended and you can get your tickets HERE.
