Anthony Richards has been recalled to prison

A man who was jailed for possessing an offensive weapon has been recalled to prison.

Anthony Richards, 34, from the Caerphilly area, appeared at Newport Magistrates’ Court on August 12, where he was handed a six-month and 14-day sentence.

He was released in December but has since breached the conditions of his release, according to Gwent Police, which has launched an appeal to find him.

The force does not disclose what the licence conditions were, or what conditions have been broken.

Anyone with information on Richards’ whereabouts can contact Gwent Police on 101, or through direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2400429689.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
