Emergency services were called to Farraline Park Bus Station on Saturday morning after an incident which resulted in damage to several cars.

Police had not yet responded to a request for comment at the time of writing, but the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that it had been called to the site of a damaged wall in Strothers Lane at 11.31am.

One appliance and one heavy rescue unit were dispatched to the scene to make the wall safe.

They added that police would need to provide further information.

The damaged wall is part of the boundary to the Strothers Lane car park, next to TK Maxx. It is understood that the wall damaged a number of parked vehicles when it toppled onto their bonnets. It is not yet known how many were damaged, or how badly.

Earlier, Stagecoach Highland had advised passengers on its buses to expect possible disruption. It said: “Due to a police incident, all services are having to access Inverness bus station via Academy Street and Strothers Lane until further notice.

“Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. For live information please refer to the Stagecoach app.”
