Staff at Geek Retreat in Kidderminster, which sells board games, trading cards and Warhammer, woke up on Monday (January 13) to find the store had been targeted in a burglary once again.
The raid forced the store to close briefly in the morning before reopening in the afternoon.
Store manager Jemma Briggeman spoke of her disappointment following the burglary.
She said: “It’s really disappointing. Three break-ins in three months is shocking.
“They stole all of our Pokemon (cards) again. Which is a shame because we have a really big launch event for Pokemon this weekend”.
The store was previously hit twice by burglars in two weeks in November last year with the front glass door being smashed.
Staff estimated that the business lost around £4,000 due to damage stolen stock and having to close for two days.
Geek Retreat plans to have shutters installed on the shop front.
James Barker, Kidderminster BID leader, said: “It was gutting to hear that they have targeted again.
“We are picking up directly with the police and Geek Retreat to try and put something in place to stop this from happening again.
“It’s clear that this has been a targeted place because it’s high value.
“It’s on everybody’s radar now to fix this problem.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We received a call around 8am yesterday morning (13 January) with a report of a burglary at Geek Retreat on Worcester Street in Kidderminster.
“An investigation is now on going”.
