King’s Worcester partners up with Worcester Warriors Foundation

King’s Worcester has partnered up with the charity with the aim of supporting people to live active, healthy, and rewarding lifestyles.

As part of this, King’s has given jointly branded kits to the Worcester Warriors Foundation staff and provided safe spaces for initiatives such as wheelchair rugby.

The school is also closely working with the foundation to provide work placement opportunities for students to learn about working with people who have complex individual needs and those from isolated and disadvantaged backgrounds.

Representatives from the King’s School Council recently visited the foundation’s Severn Street facilities to participate in inclusive sports and learn more about the foundation’s work.

Carol Hart, CEO of the foundation, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with King’s Worcester.

“There has never been a more important time to pull together to support our community; people who struggle every day to overcome physical and mental barriers.”

The foundation supports individuals who are isolated, disengaged, disadvantaged, living with a range of disabilities or conditions, and those who have individual and complex needs.

Its mission is to make physical activity accessible to all, irrespective of ability, and promote positive mental wellbeing.
