Latest cases in Bexley and Bromley courts this week

Joe Lerwill, 37, of Streatham Hill, admitted driving whilst disqualified and failing to provide a specimen in Lambeth on both October 7, and driving whilst disqualified on November 11. Lerwill was given a 25-week prison sentence. 

Claude Spencer, 51, of no fixed abode, admitted breaking into a car and stealing a suitcase on Limes Grove in Lewisham on Wednesday (January 8). Spencer was given a 10-week sentence suspended for a year and was ordered to pay £300 compensation. 

Ricardo Rodrigues, 22, of Hither Green Lane in Hither Green, admitted possessing a knife in public and possessing cannabis on Ladywell Road in Lewisham on October 31. Rodrigues was given a four-month sentence suspended for one year. 

Gary North, 59, of Amherst Drive in Orpington, admitted criminal damage to a Ring doorbell in Orpington on June 18. North will be sentenced at a later date. 

Shane Bignall, 39, of Lowry Crescent in Mitcham, admitted 12 thefts from Bp Express in Orpington. Bignall was given a deferred sentence with requirements that he should have no further arrests and make drug rehabilitation progress.
