Commuters are facing long delays and cancellations this morning (Monday, January 13) after a person was struck by a train. South Western trains are currently unable to run between Havant and Haslemere, while trains from Woking are also affected due to a signal fault.
Emergency services are currently investigating the incident, meaning all power to the track has been switched off. Some commuter services between Waterloo and Portsmouth have been diverted via Eastleigh, while Southern services are unaffected in and out of London Victoria.
Due to the disruption passengers are able to source their own taxis between Portsmouth Harbour and Guildford and claim the amount back through the SWR website. To find out more about this click here.
Disruption between Havant and Haslemere is expected to last until midday, while signalling problems at Woking should be over by 11am. Commuters currently face a delay of about one hour, cancellations or a revised service.
