Three fire crews were called at 6.23am to a crash in Hawford after a car left the carriageway and hit a tree, which saw a road closure put in place on the A449 northbound.
The police and ambulance service were also called to the scene.
A man in his 40s was freed from his vehicle using Holmatro tools and handed over to the care of the ambulance service.

The road closure remains in place on the A449 near Hawford.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Three Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Worcester and one from Droitwich Fire Station – were called at 06:23 on 6 January to a road traffic collision involving a small vehicle in Hawford.
“A car had left the carriageway and was in collision with a tree.
“A man in his 40s was extricated from his vehicle using Holmatro tools and handed over to the care of the ambulance service who attended along with police.
“The A449 was closed northbound.”
