Mercedes driver arrested on suspcion of drug dealing

Police pulled over a Mercedes car on Cherry Tree Walk, Oakridge, after noticing “suspicious behaviour” at around 1.20pm yesterday, Thursday, January 9.

Officers searched the car and its occupants and found what they believe to be Class A drugs in one of the men’s coat pocket.

A 30-year-old man from Enfield and a 26-year-old man from Basingstoke were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.

Two men have been arrested after officers found suspected Class A drugs following a proactive stop in Basingstoke yesterday.

Officers were patrolling the Oakridge area when they noticed suspicious behaviour linked to a Mercedes car on Cherry Tree Walk at around 1.20pm on Thursday 9 January.

Following a search of the vehicle, officers found suspected Class A drugs in a coat pocket.

A 30-year-old man from Enfield and a 26-year-old man from Basingstoke were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.

They have been bailed, pending further enquiries.
