From December 1 to 31, 2024, officers from the Thames Valley Police Roads Policing Unit carried out targeted activity across the region in order to stop drivers under the influence of drink and drugs.
Named ‘Op Limit’, the force has revealed that 432 arrests were made in the Thames Valley alone.

A statement posted by the unit on social media said: “We see too often the devastating consequences that can result from this behaviour, even the smallest amount of alcohol or drugs can impact on your driving.
“It’s not worth the risk.”
Similarly, Northamptonshire Police undertake a yearly four-week crackdown over the festive period by naming those caught driving over the legal limit publicly.
