But when Kadamen arrived to meet the girl on October 23 last year, he instead found police waiting to arrest him.

When searching his car, officers found a mobile phone containing multiple indecent images of children.

Following an investigation by Kent Police’s paedophile online investigation team, Kadamen later admitted a series of charges.

These included arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence and making indecent photographs of children.

Kadamen, previously of Kingfisher Drive, Maidenhead, was jailed for six years and four months at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday.

He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) for 15 years.

DC Jess Meadway, of Kent Police’s paedophile online investigation team, said: “Investigations like this one are designed to protect vulnerable children by tracking down those who would exploit them via the internet.

“We do everything in our power to proactively target people like Kadamen, who seek to commit sexual offences against children, and ensure they can no longer pose a threat to public safety.”
