Plans to turn a Nissen hut into a single, one-bedroom residence have been resubmitted.
A proposal, submitted by Hannah Thorogood, seeks to convert a post-war corrugated metal hut into a single dwelling with two car parking spaces at Limberlost Farm, Crookham Common.

If accepted, the plans will involve altering the existing openings, inserting new metal framed doors and windows and adding internal partition walls, insulation and external vertical timber boarding.
The site, currently used for storage, is accessible via a private road off Crookham Common Road.
No highway or environmental objections have been raised.
An updated bat survey carried out on behalf of the applicant found no evidence of roosting bats.
Similar proposals submitted by the applicant were refused three times before.

However, their second appeal was granted in 2023 after the council failed to determine the application within the required 56-day window.
Further huts are visible in the same field in an Ordnance Survey map published in 1971.
Today, only three remain.

Their original purpose is unclear.
But prefabricated steel structures such as these were often repurposed for storage space and emergency housing after the Second World War.
The application is due to be decided on by West Berkshire Council on Tuesday, March 4.
