Police are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries across the Wrexham area.
PCSO Dean Sawyer has posted details on the North Wales Community Alerts website of five separate incidents that have taken place over the last few weeks.
Between New Years Day and 4 January a garage on Cefn Road was broken into.
Anyone who may have witnessed something suspicious that could assist police with their enquiries are asked to contact 101 quoting reference C001712.
On Friday 3 January the Brymbo Sports and Social Club was targeted by burglars.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number 25000007966.
Over the Christmas period officers also received a report of a burglary at a building site near the canal at Mill Lane, Trevor.
If you witnessed anything suspicious at this location that could help with enquiries, contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting ref 25000004932.
Darland School and Trevalyn Hall View building site were subject to burglaries on 2 Thursday and 3 Friday January.
Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious at these locations is asked to contact 101 quoting ref 25000080399 (Darland) or 25000004910 (Trevalyn).
On 4 January there was a burglary in Ffordd Llanerch, Penycae.
If you witnessed anything suspicious at the location that could help with enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting 25000009513.
The following home security and burglary tips have been issued by PCSO Dean Sawyer.
- Install a burglar alarm system to deter potential thieves.
- Use a WIDE security combination: Window locks, Indoor lights on a timer, Door double or deadlocks, and
- External lights on a timer or sensor.
- Mark valuables with a UV or indelible pen to deter theft and assist in recovery if stolen.
- Keep all doors and windows locked, even when at home.
- Secure outdoor spaces like garages and sheds to prevent burglars from using your tools against you.
- Use outdoor lighting as a deterrent and to increase visibility.
- Avoid distraction burglaries by being wary of unexpected callers.
- Prepare your home for safety before going on holiday.
