Police out with speed cameras in and around Malvern

Officers have conducted speed checks on 18 roads in Worcestershire over the last two days (January 15/16). 

Drivers were also given words of advice after driving without their lights in foggy conditions. 

Police officers had speed cameras on the following roads: 

-Wells Road-Hanley Road-Upper Welland Road-St Andrews Road-Poundbank Road-Barnards Green Road-Madresfield Road-B4104 at Baughton-A38 at Severn Stoke-A4103 Leigh Sinton and Bransford Road-Pickersleigh Avenue-Tanhouse Lane-Leigh Sinton Road-Worcester Road

-Lower Broadheath-A451 at Dunley-A443 at Holt Heath -Suckley

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th January, PC 22752 PHILLIPS along with Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team, conducted a Speed Operation in and around the Malvern Hills District.

“The Operation was well received by residents and parents around school drop off and pick up times.

“Our presence had a positive effect on the speed in said areas, and words of advice were also given for driving in poor weather conditions without lights. A number of summons were issued throughout the operation.

“If you have an issue with speeding in your area, please get in touch by reporting this to us online, alternatively, report this to your Local Safer Neighbourhood Team.”
