Police want to trace two adults they believe could help with investigations after a child was involved in a theft from a store totalling more than £400.
Officers are now appealing for information following the report of the incident in Bury on Boxing Day (December 26). At around 2.25pm, a child was seen folding a coat and lifting it over a security barrier on Union Street. The child then left with the group.
The sum of items taken from a nearby store totalled more than £400, Greater Manchester Police said. An investigation was launched by the force.
A spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for information following reports of a theft at a store in Bury.
“At around 2.25pm on 26 December, a child was spotted folding a coat and lifting it over a security barrier at a store on Union Street, Bury. The sum of the items taken totalled more than £400. The child then left with a group.
“Investigators have now released an image of two adults they would like to talk to, as it is believed they could help with their enquiries.”
