Rapper 2 Low’s gun went seemingly off while he was doing a live interview on the One on One Wit Mike D podcast.
The 46-year-old musician was chatting to the host when a loud band and a flash exploded from his trouser pocket. While listening to the host discuss the choices humans make in their lives, he was seen reaching into his jean pocket before a loud bang was suddenly heard in the footage.
A bright flash of orange could also been seen coming from his pocket. He jumped before freezing in shock at what just occurred, with Mike D unsure of where the noise came from. He looked at the producers and asked: “Who shot who?” 2 Low held the same stunned expression as he looked around.
He kept his hand in his pocket as he looked to be checking his gun as the host asked: “Somebody got shot? Y’all good?” The host got up to look around for the bullet casing as 2 Low remained panicked about what just unfolded. Mike D tried to remain professional as he went back to talking to listeners and 2 Low quickly asked: “Everybody good?”

His gun went off in his pocket
The footage quickly went viral online as many rushed to comment on the unbelievable scenes. One user said: “Why is the safety off ?!” while another posted: “His thigh not burning?” One person asked whether the rapper was okay while another questioned whether it was a stunt.
“This is why guns have a ‘safety’ function,” another complained on social media. One commented: “What was he grabbing it like that, then pants was so tight if it popped off he wouldn’t have been able to pull it out.” The host and the rapper, after a short break, continued with the podcast as if nothing happened.
2 Low quickly put the incident behind him as he shared a post of the viral moment on his Instagram Stories. The video on the podcast’s YouTube page has gained over 22,000 views while shorter clips have been shared on Instagram and X/Twitter. 2 Low was only 12 when he signed to Rap-A-Lot Records.
He was best known for his verse on Geto Boys’ hit song Bring It On in the early 90s.
