From January 20 at 7pm until January 31 at 11.59pm, New Canal and High Street will be closed to traffic – including emergency services – while drainage investigation and associated works are completed.
The road will be closed every day between 7pm and midnight.

A diversion route can be followed via Bridge Street: from Fisherton Street to South Western Road, to Mill Road, to Cranebridge Road, to Crane Street, to New Street, to St Johns Street, to St Ann Street, to Brown Street and to Milford Street and vice versa.
In the closure notice, Wiltshire Council said: “It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.

“Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.”
Salisbury Reds and All the Sevens have been contacted for comment on how it will affect their services.
