The charity is in danger of closure after organisers said it needs new volunteers.
The warning of the potential closure followed the recent and successful Santa’s Fun Run in Romsey on Sunday, December 22.

Romsey Carnival last year (Image: Contributed) Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Southampton North, said: “I am very conscious that events like the Carnival, Bed Race and Winter Carnival, don’t just happen by magic – they take a great deal of organisation and volunteers who make them happen.
“Romsey Carnival is always incredible, and the community love it. It would be such a shame for it to be lost and hopefully, volunteers will come forward to help keep the committee going.
She said: “It would be great to see some local businesses come forward with some sponsorship or donations to make the carnival financially sustainable.
“Romsey is always good at digging deep when it matters and I hope the same can happen now.”
Leader of Hampshire County Council and a local borough councillor Nick Adams-King said: “For many years the Romsey Carnival Committee have worked tirelessly to deliver absolutely brilliant events for the town.
“After having worked so hard for so long they deserve our thanks for their amazing commitment, tenacity and the joy they have brought the town.
“It is though inevitable that without ‘new blood’ voluntary organisations will eventually no longer be able to continue their work.”
Cllr Adams-King said: “Wonderful events like Romsey Carnival and the Winter Carnival and Lantern Parade do not happen without the engagement and hard work of many people.
“If you enjoy these and wish them to continue, please do step forward and attend the Annual General Meeting of the Carnival Committee on Wednesday, January 29 and offer to help.
“The more the merrier, many hands make light(er) work.”

Romsey’s mayor, Cllr John Parker said: “This problem is not unique to the Carnival, many voluntary organisations are finding it difficult to recruit younger members.
“I cannot pin down the root cause of this nor come up with a solution but I do hope some younger Romsonians will come forward to fill the gaps that the retiring members of the Carnival Committee will leave. It would be a real pity were the Carnivals, Bed Race, Santa Fun Run and Lantern Parade to cease.
Cllr Parker said: “In the meantime, I must thank all those who have served on the Carnival Committee for bringing such joy to Romsey.”
