Seven arrested in connection to Hartlepool shooting

The incident occurred on Garside Drive, January 2 at around 4:15pm. 

Emergency services were called to the scene, where the victim was found with suspected gunshot wounds. 

The victim, who was rushed to hospital is still receiving treatment, where his condition was described as serious. 

Cleveland Police have confirmed the arrests of five men aged 19, 21, 23 and two aged 32, along with two women aged 34 and 54.  

All seven individuals remain in police custody as investigations continue.

A full Cleveland Police statement reads: “Seven people have been arrested in connection with an incident on Thursday 2nd January 2025, whereby a man was left seriously injured from suspected gun shot wounds on Garside Drive, Hartlepool.

“Five males aged 19, 21, 23, 32, 32 and two women aged 34 and 54 have been arrested and all remain in police custody at this time.

“The injured man, aged in his thirties, remains in hospital receiving treatment.”
