Drivers were stuck in traffic for up to an hour and 45 minutes on the A449 between Worcester and Malvern due to Severn Trent Water roadworks this morning (Tuesday).
Those travelling towards the Powick roundabout were stuck in long queues as traffic lights outside the Murco Garage on Malvern Road were stuck on red.
It led some commuters to ignore the lights completely.
