Stagecoach have taken a different road due to works in the city on James Street and Izatt Avenue.
A number of their buses stop at James Street, at the back of the Kingsgate Shopping Centre, but there’s a temporary road closure in place between 9pm and 6am for duct laying works.
Stagecoach said “multiple” services are affected and added: “During this, services will divert via East Port on both inbound and outbound journeys to Dunfermline Bus Station.
“Passengers during this closure are asked to use bus stops on New Row and inside Dunfermline Bus Station.”

There’s also a temporary road closure at Izatt Avenue, between 8am and 5pm from the junction with Hospital Hill to the junction with Keir Hardie Terrace, for carriageway resurfacing.
It is also affecting buses heading to and from Dunfermline High School.
Stagecoach said: “This closure will affect the 84 service and because of this will divert via St Leonards Place, Jennie Rennie’s Road, Johnston Crescent, McClelland Crescent, Jennie Rennie’s Road onto St Leonard’s Place and then back to normal route.”
Works at James Street and Izatt Avenue, being carried out by Openreach and Fife Council respectively, are both due to finish on Friday.
