The Brooks Shopping Centre Winchester: New soft play area opens

On Sunday, January 12, a free event took place at the Brooks Shopping Centre in Winchester.

Many parents and their little ones attended, filling the atrium to see the new garden-themed soft play area.

The marketing team led an event that included a bug trail, face painting, colouring, and balloon-making.

The Soft Brick Company has created a new garden-themed soft play area, replacing a previous one outside Primark and Sports Direct. It is suitable for younger children and is free to use. It was installed following the removal of a large Christmas tree that stood in its place for the festive period.

Management from the Brooks Shopping Centre said the reaction to the soft play was very positive. Many children enjoyed themselves on the equipment. The face painting, bug trail, balloon modelling, and colouring were also a hit.

Participants in the bug trail who discovered the hidden word received a sticker along with a choice of a teddy bear or a bubble wand.

The centre posted on its Facebook page: “Had a great day with the launch of the new soft play area. Thank you to all of those who came along and made Brooksy’s garden party so much fun!”
