HUNDREDS of spectators lined a 20-mile route through the Forest to enjoy a New Year’s Eve tractor run.
Organised by Brockenhurst Young Farmers’ Club, the event featured around 130 tractors and 4x4s driving in convoy through the national park. It raised more than £2,000, which will be divided between the Minstead Trust and ongoing maintenance for the youth organisation’s headquarters at Tiptoe.

The parade began at the New Park Showground in Brockenhurst before travelling to Beaulieu, where hundreds of supporters gathered at Hatchet Pond to cheer on the agricultural vehicles. The convoy then proceeded to Lymington High Street and through Pennington village.
It then went past the Rising Sun pub at Bashley, before arriving back in Brockenhurst village to complete the circular route, with club members and volunteers collecting donations along the route.

Spokesperson William Peters said: “We have had a blast organising the tractor and 4×4 run, as well as learning a lot. We are looking forward to the 2025 tractor run and have already started planning for it.”
Brockenhurst Young Farmers meet weekly on a Wednesday evening, and welcome new members aged 10-28. Five years ago membership had dwindled to the point where the group was facing closure, but it now has around 50 regular members.
