Trimdon locals terrified as Station Road West home targeted

People living up and down Station Road West in Trimdon Station say they are being terrorised, as anti-social behaviour continues to plague their street.

From windows being smashed to being hit with spades, the list of reported vandalism goes on as the house sits boarded up with its doors off and rubbish on the ground.

She said: “I’ve lived here for decades. It was so lovely when I first moved here – so quiet. From 2022, it seems like it has just declined. It’s just kept getting worse on this street.

“If that sets on fire, then because we are all colliery homes we will all go up in flames. We have all thought about leaving but because many are private homes we’d have to sell.

“It’s just not nice at all. We have been crying out for help, and we feel like nobody is listening.”
