Police have arrested two boys and a 44-year-old woman in connection with the murder of 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa.
A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder, they both remain in custody.
A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, she also remains in custody.
Cops were called to reports of a stabbing on a Route 472 bus in Woolwich Church Street, near the junction with the A205 South Circular Road, shortly before 2.30pm on Tuesday, January 7.
Officers attended, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. A 14-year-old boy was treated for stab wounds. He died shortly after medics arrived.
He has been formally identified as Kelyan Bokassa. His family are being supported by specialist officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, leading the investigation, said: “While these arrests mark a significant step forward in this investigation, we continue to appeal for anyone with information about Keylan’s murder to come forward and speak to us.
“I know that this incident deeply affected you all, and I hope that these arrests reassure you that we are doing everything to tackle violent offenders across London.”
