Air ambulances were needed at the scene of a road crash near Wrexham which left two people in hospital. North Wales Police were called to the collision on the A525 near Bangor-on-Dee, on Friday afternoon, January 10.
Two cars were involved, and the road was closed while emergency services dealt with the casualties. Motorists were asked to avoid the area, with the FlightRadar website showing two air ambulances landing near the incident.
Police confirmed that one person was taken to Stoke Hospital and the other was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Officers were called to the scene shortly after 3pm on Friday.
The force is now appealing for information about the collision. A spokesperson said: “Shortly before 3.10pm on Friday, January 10, we were called to a report of a road traffic collision on the A525 at Bangor-on-Dee involving two cars. Join the North Wales Live Whatsapp community now
“Emergency services were in attendance and closed the road. Two people sustained injuries during the incident, with one person taken to Stoke Hospital, and another to the Wrexham Maelor.”
