Wiltshire Police stop driver taking pictures of traffic

On Saturday, January 11, a driver was stopped by police as they were seen attempting to take photos of traffic surrounding the scene of an accident.

Consequently, Wiltshire Police stopped and reported the driver.

In an X (formerly Twitter) post, Wiltshire Specialist Ops said: “#RPU were dealing with a RTC in Salisbury today, this driver decided to take a picture of the traffic car whilst driving. Not the most subtle action and rubber necking causes more accidents.

“Driver stopped and reported!”

The driver was stopped and reported by police (Image: Wiltshire Police) It is understood that the referenced ‘RTC’ is the same as the incident on Churchill Way which saw huge delays across the city while emergency services responded.
