Woman bitten by dog near Shropshire Sainsbury’s as police issue appeal to find man

Police would like to identify this man after a woman was bitten by a dog in Shropshire. The attack happened near the railway track behind Sainsbury’s in Black Gate Street, Oswestry, at around 1pm on Monday, December 30.

West Mercia Police today issued an image of a man they would like to speak to following the incident. The force said officers believe he was in the area walking his dog at the time.

He was pictured wearing a red jacket. A force spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to this man following a dog attack in Oswestry on Monday, December 30.

“The incident happened around 1pm on the railway track behind Sainsburys when a woman was bitten by a dog. Officers are keen to speak to the man pictured as it’s thought he was walking his dog in the area at the time and may be able to help with enquiries.
