World’s biggest Primark in Birmingham makes major change to store

The world’s biggest Primark has made a major change to its store. The giant shop spans five floors of fashion fixes for bargain hunters to discover. And now there’s something new and it’s perfect for families.

One department has been transformed as Primark bosses say ‘we’re always looking for new ways to create fun’. The city centre store’s cafe has been revamped into a Simpsons paradise complete with themed menus and bubblegum pink decor.

Fans are now able to walk under The Simpsons archway into the cafe to tuck into Bart and Homer themed treats. Check out the Butter Bacon Waffles topped with crispy bacon, caramel sauce and fudge pieces and the Loaded Toasties filled with sliced beef, melted cheddar, pink pickled onions and rocket, served with a side of hand cut crisps.

And you can wash it down with a Strawberry Doughnut Shake or Chocolate Marshmallow Hot Chocolate as you dine alongside all your favourite characters including Marge, Homer, Bart, Lisa and Maggie painted onto the walls – ideal for selfies. The Simpsons Cafe will run until the beginning of May, meaning it will be open for the February half term and Easter holidays.

Tim Kelly, Director of New Business Development at Primark said: “We’re serving up a slice of Springfield with our latest cafe theme, giving fans a taste of The Simpsons right in our stores. We’re always looking for new ways to create fun and memorable experiences for our customers and our themed cafes have been a big hit. We can’t wait to see everyone’s reaction in store.”

The Primark Café with The Simpsons is now open at the Birmingham store and will be in place until the beginning of May. The Simpsons Cafe will also be Primark’s Manchester Market Street, Manchester Trafford, Belfast, Braehead, Edinburgh, and Cardiff stores.

This themed cafe replaces The Grinch cafe that ran all over Christmas at the Birmingham store. Primark has recently expanded its click and collect services to more of its UK stores including here in Birmingham.
